Hi, I’m Dr. Emily

As a girl growing up in North Carolina, I always wanted to be a teacher. I really loved school. I loved school so much in fact that after high school and college, I immediately entered graduate school to get a Ph.D. in, you guessed it, School Psychology. At some point along the way, my passions evolved from teaching all students to helping those who struggle to learn within our traditional education system, especially when it comes to figuring out where behavior comes from and how it interferes with a student’s learning.

I am passionate about helping teachers like you understand neurodiverse learners and the relationships you create with them every day to help them access learning. One child at a time. If you want to understand your students better and learn more about how to connect with them in order to unlock their engagement with learning, you are in the right place.

 You might be thinking...

I’m just one teacher beginning to understand the importance of relationships. How can I alone make a difference?

You may feel alone now, but you are not alone! I have talked with so many teachers who are ready to shift their mindset from managing classroom behavior to connecting with students.

I have realized that all students can benefit from how we connect with and teach our neurodivergent students.

What if you are the beginning of a movement?

It’s time to invest in your students, your classroom, and yourself.

Start getting to know your students today so you can lead them into a more empowered and confidence tomorrow!
